Parent-Child Nature Classes
Parent-Child Nature Classes
Parent-Child classes allow children to explore more structured school-like settings with the support of their own caregiver.
Each class incorporates developmental, gross-motor movements, singing and story, as well as nature-based, hands-on projects.
For children ages 18 months and walking to 4 years.
Rachel Rubinstein is an educator and child-development expert. With experience teaching toddlers to teens, training teachers and developing curriculum, her priority now is her own two boys, Mason (4) and Walker (2).

She was really proud to show off her dyed cotton to her big brother! The classes included mud play, silk painting, nature crafting, story time and snacks. The Parent & Child classes also offered a great opportunity to meet other local families and caregivers in a similar life stage. We definitely recommend these classes for kiddos that are preparing to enter preschool or as a supplementary activity for your budding student. You will have the chance to observe your child in play, learn a bit more about their interests and personality in a group setting sharing tools, collaborating or engaging in parallel play, but also have the lead and guidance of a teacher helping introduce new themes. Ms Rachel is warm, inviting and has a soothing voice that is encouraging to the little ones.
My son attended some of Rachel’s programs and I can’t speak highly enough of her grace and kindness as an educator. The programs were engaging, fun and educational. They felt easy to attend for both parents and children. We always looked forward to her classes.

My son is very reserved and takes time to warm up to people and new environments. Rachel was graceful with his needs while still being attentive. She has a special way about her that makes kids feel comfortable, safe and heard.

Rachel’s teaching philosophy is intuitive, logical and personal. Her students and their families will benefit from her expertise as they progress through any school system.
